If on the other hand you are flying in Denver, then the 500m applies relative to takeoff altitude. I'm pretty sure none of the Mavics will fly at the top of Mt Everest.

Jul 12, 2020 · I. Have recently purchased the MA2. Before this I have had the DJI Mavic 2 ori and the Mavic mini. There is no beginning mode so the max flight distance should never come up assuming your max distance is set. The only way I have found to get around it is the unlink the drone from the controller and then relink. This always works for me.
